History
The history of Iran Khodro dates back to about 58 years ago, August 1962. At that time, the Khayami brothers registered Iran National Company (now Iran Khodro) in the Tehran Companies Registration Office with a capital of nearly 10 million tomans.
In the beginning, this production complex turned to the production and assembly of “LP” or 321 buses, whose parts were supplied from Germany.The production of German buses continued until the officials of Iran Khodro (Iran National) thought of producing passenger products for the use of the majority of society. Therefore, the Khayami brothers entered into negotiations with many German, French, Italian, and English companies, until finally the English Talbot Company agreed to give Iran Khodro a license to produce its Hillman Hunter model.
